Whether you are searching for a beach along the harbour foreshore or perhaps one that lies to the north or south, there are many different kinds of beaches that you can travel to.

The beaches of Sydney provide ample fun for everyone, whether you are looking to do some surfing, join a surfing class to learn how to surf, go wind surfing, kite surfing, fishing, swimming or just plan relaxing you can have so much fun at any one of the beaches located along Sydney’s coastline. And depending on which beach you decide to visit there are some great rock pools, lagoons and coves to explore as well!

One of the many attractions that Sydney is famous for is its beaches, with the more iconic beaches such as Bondi Beach being a very populated beach at anytime of the year. Bondi is an Australian icon where visitor from all walks of life come here to bath in the cool refreshing waters all year round! Safely patrolled it is a great place to bring the whole family for a day in the sun. Bondi not only has great surfing and swimming but there are many different restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs that all tourists can visit.

You may even like to spend your holiday right on the water’s edge so why don’t you check out the range of accommodation that front the foreshore of Bondi Beach. Some of the other more popular beaches such as Redleaf, Nielsen Park, Parsley Bay and Camp Cove are great for swimming, surfing and all kinds of water sports. You can spend as much time as you like splashing around in the waters and having a ball of a time! All of these beaches are easily accessible with taxis, buses and trains making regular stops at nearby depots and destinations so it isn’t hard for you to get here.

Just up from Bondi Beach you can also check out other famous beaches known as Bronte Beach, Coogee Beach and Cronulla where the local surf breaks are always pumping and there is always something interesting to see while you are here! Perhaps you want to spend some time working on your all over tan, so why not head on down to Lady Jane or Obelisk Beach for the afternoon for some tanning under the warm summer sun.

Most of the Sydney Beaches are all an easy 30 minute drive from the CBD if you decide to take one of the public transport systems. The coastline of Sydney has beautiful bays and coves that you can visit as well, such as Palm Beach, Avalon Bay, North Curl Curl, Newport, Mona Vale, Manly and Queenscliff just to name a few. These are the beaches that will take a little longer to get to but well worth the drive when you get here.

Many of the beaches have well planned out foreshore parklands that boasts an esplanade that has excellent accommodation, entertainment, nightlife and attractions. A holiday by the beach at Sydney will be fun for all and with easy access to all parts of Sydney why would you want to base yourself anywhere else.
